The deacidification section is mainly to remove the free fatty acids in the oil, reduce the acid value of the oil, and make it easier to store. At this section, sodium hydroxide is added to the oil, and the sodium hydroxide combines with the FFA in the oil to produce soap foot, which can have a certain economic value as a by-product.

The deacidified palm oil will enter the decolorization section. Decolorization is to remove the pigment in the oil and make the oil look clearer. In this section, we will add activated clay to adsorb the pigments in the oil.

Finally, there is the deodorization section, which will be carried out in a high temperature and negative pressure environment, in which the peculiar smell in the oil can be removed more efficiently. After deodorization, the refining of crude palm oil has been completed, and we can get very clean and standard-quality refined palm oil.
